We’re proud to share that CleanHub is officially a Certified B Corporation.
For brands that care deeply about the integrity of their environmental partners, this isn’t just a logo. It’s third-party verification that we meet the highest standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability.
This certification isn’t the end goal — it’s a milestone.
The B Corp certification process is known for being rigorous. It dives into every aspect of how a company operates: its governance, how it treats workers, its impact on the community, its environmental performance, and how it delivers long-term value—not just to shareholders, but to all stakeholders.
More than just a badge
Becoming a B Corp means more than just a badge. (Although we do flipping love the badge)...
It means, as a B Corp, we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact, for the planet, and for the people we work with.
It means every decision we make from how we operate on the ground, to the partners we work with, is rooted in transparency, accountability, and impact!
It’s proof that business can be a force for good.
Why this matters for you
If you're a consumer brand navigating sustainability claims and greenwashing in your industry, you’ve probably asked yourself:
-
Which environmental partners can I really trust?
-
How do I know the impact I support is legitimate, verified, and responsible?
This is why B Corp status matters.
It’s not marketing speak—it’s governance, process, and proof. It means we are legally accountable to consider the impact of our decisions on people and the planet. And it gives you confidence that when you partner with CleanHub, your investment is going toward real, traceable impact, not vague offsets or feel-good campaigns.
What B Corp status doesn’t change (and what it does)
Our mission has always been clear — to protect our oceans by preventing plastic from ever reaching them. And being recognised as certified B Corporation reinforces this mission.
We remain focused on what we do best: collecting plastic waste before it reaches the ocean, creating local jobs, and giving brands (and now individuals too) a way to fund real waste management solutions in parts of the world that need them most.
But it does raise the bar. B Corp isn’t a one-time test. We’ll recertify every 3 years, and we’re now held to a continuous improvement framework to keep getting better: for people, for the planet, and for the brands that put their trust in us.
How this compliments our TÜV SÜD verification
Becoming B Corp Certified and our recently renewed TÜV SÜD verification each offer distinct layers of trust, and together they create a powerful signal for consumer brands seeking credible environmental partners.
Where the B Corp Certification is focused on evaluating CleanHub as a business, social and environmental impact, TÜV SÜD verification, on the other hand, validates our impact data.
For brands that need both consumer trust and regulatory confidence, CleanHub’s dual certification gives you exactly that.

To our partners—thank you
CleanHub is B Corp certified today because of the brands who believed in doing things the right way, even when it wasn’t the easy way. You’ve challenged us, championed us, and helped scale a system of verified plastic recovery that’s now stopping over 3 million kg of plastic from reaching nature every year.
We’re building something together—and B Corp status is just the beginning.
If you're exploring environmental partners that are independently verified and mission-aligned, we’d love to chat. Why chose plastic as your purpose? Take a look.
More on B Corp Certification
B Corp Certification means that a company has been verified as meeting B Lab’s high standards for social and environmental impact, that it has made a legal commitment to stakeholder governance, and that it is demonstrating accountability and transparency by disclosing this record of performance in a public B Corp profile.
